The Amazon River is the largest river in the world by volume, which means amount of water. It has more water flowing in it than the top ten largest rivers combined. It is not crossed by bridges at any point because it does not run through any cities - only through rainforest. It is about 4,000 miles long.. It flows through Peru, Columbia, Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. It begins at Apacheta cliff and opens into the Atlantic Ocean in Brazil. It is home to more than 3000 species of fish, including piranhas. It is also home to one of the largest snakes, the anaconda.
Andes Mountain Range
The Andes form the world’s longest exposed mountain range. They form a chain along the western coast of South America that is over 4,400 miles long and 300 miles wide at some points. It is mostly made up of 2 smaller ranges: Cordillera Oriental and Cordillera Occidental. The mountains continue over seven countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. It is the highest mountain range outside of Asia, reaching 22,841 ft above sea level at its highest point.
